MALLORY CURLEE-GREEN
A GYPSY SPIRIT, aN apparel powerhouse
–
I have always called many places home: from Costa Rica to California, and of course, Texas. After a year in Central America (fresh out of high school), I returned stateside with a passion for beautifully fitting swimwear. Couple this design passion with a great respect and love for the wildly, natural environment - and so began my design career.
Right out of FIDM, I founded a sustainable swimwear label, CurleeBikini. I ran CB for 6 years, working alongside various retail management + marketing positions within the fashion industry. During this time, I self-taught into bespoke, technical design, I deepened my innate entrepreneurial spirit, and developed great acumen in the business of fashion.
I am an action-oriented leader! I bring a technical mindset and efficiency, process-based methodology to creative, development and production projects. I am extremely detail-oriented - successful at tracking and analyzing each tiny detail within a product, while also maintaining a macro vision towards achieving the strategic, long-term goals of the business and/or product at hand.
One of my greatest strengths lies in the strong relationships I build and maintain with every vendor partner, despite their location nor native language. I have experience in sourcing new domestic and international vendors, resourcing established volume-driven programs, vendor onboarding, establishing vendor manuals, managing to production requirements, and regulating compliance through fabric and product testing. I have an intuitive sense for bringing order to chaos, and driving the product team towards success despite unforeseen challenges.
Since running my brand, I have spent my career helping other small fashion business’ grow and thrive! My passion remains in supporting fashion, lifestyle and (most recently) technical outdoor apparel brands that have a hand in pushing the fashion industry towards greater sustainability.
I love connecting with like-minded thinkers and industry leaders - if this resonates with you, I’d love to grab a coffee and chat! I look forward to meeting you.
